~ Snow Flower~
Through cold, gray winter pane, I gaze, As I bemoan, warm summer days; With dreams of blooming flowers, in head, I sadly look, at snow filled beds.
When in the corner, of mine eye, A soft pink bloom, materialized; It cast a perfect silhouette, Against the fallen snowbound set.
Not minding cold, nor winter's gloom, It basks in sunlight, giving bloom; Protected from its season's end, Beauty, growth and bloom, transcend.
I smile, reminded of God's love, Forever shining, from above; Protecting us, midst winter storms, He sends his 'Son' to keep us warm. Bobby Smith
